Working closely with architects and general contractors is one of our specialties. Because we keep up with the latest roofing trends and innovative technological advances, we can suggest or recommend underlayment systems, venting options and warranty related materials. We are interested in our craft and want every general contractor we work with to shine.

This niche market also requires that we carry extra insurances, notably extensive general liability insurance, not necessarily required by law, frequently avoided by roofing contractors, but generally insisted upon by the GCs we subcontract with.

RE-ROOFING

Our initial meeting includes a free consultation and measuring your roof to offer you an estimate. We need to know what your concerns and desires are for your new roof and want to answer any questions you have.

Removing the existing roof is known as a "tear off." Sometimes we do this work ourselves, sometimes we "sub" it out to firms specializing in roof removal as they maintain the equipment and trucks required. Although this initial re-roofing task may be done by others, we are on the job during this time to ensure a smooth project. Homeowners need specific instructions to be prepared for this...we walk you through the entire process in advance of our start date. And, by-the-way, Jac Reid, the licensed contractor of record, is on the job too. He is not one to give you a bid, then send out "the crew" to complete the job. It's hands-on around here.

When it comes to "tying in to existing" roofing on a home addition or re-model, experience and attention to detail becomes critical. Matching existing materials can be a challenge too. We have sources for discontinued tile or other roofing materials that have really saved a project. Some materials cannot be exactly duplicated, but tricks of the trade and Jac's long time commitment to quality will comfort the most discerning client.

REPAIRS AND MAINTENANCE

From removing and replacing a few broken tiles to major earthquake renovations, we have relationships with the best in the construction trades to be able to put together an entire team for you, if you need that assistance.

Similar to changing the oil in your vehicle, we can also offer simple maintenance services to keep your roof performing for years to come. Removing leaves in the valleys, cleaning out the gutters and re-sealing vent pipe flashings is valuable inexpensive preventative maintenance to avoid costly repairs. 

INSPECTIONS AND CERTIFICATIONS

Business owners, management companies, real estate brokers, agents and homeowners - we do inspections! Not a favorite, if offered at all, by many roofing contractors, we happily offer inspection services, certifications and in depth reports with photographs and infrared images, if required. Services start at $175.

INFRARED THERMAL IMAGING

Beyond Vision is a division of Reid Roofing, Inc. Our infrared equipment as been an invaluable addition to our roofing operations. We have saved companies and individuals thousands of dollars by investigating water intrusion and other anomolies by thermally locating the source of the problem. As wet or moist areas will maintain a different temperature than the surrounding dry areas, this sophisticated camera will detect the slightest differences and precise locations otherwise invisible to the naked eye.
